A special invitation is extended to professionals at all levels of
horticulture and distribution to attend The XIIIth International Symposium on
Horticultural Economics. The primary focus will be Economics, Management,
Marketing and Labor Management in all Horticultural Sectors (vegetables,
fruit, floriculture, ornamental horticulture, seed growing, mushroom
production, wine, turf, etc.)
The official language of the symposium will be English. The registration fee
for the symposium is 450 US$ for regular participant, 390 US$ for students
(with student I.D.), and 350 US$ for accompanying person if you register by
July 5.
The registration fees for participants include:
~ Access to the opening session (August 15) and all the technical sessions
~ The participant's kit including final symposium program
~ A copy of the proceedings
~ Lunches and coffee breaks on August 5 through August 9
~ A Jersey shore welcoming dinner featuring New Jersey seafood, world
famous Jersey tomatoes, Jersey corn on the cob and other Jersey fruits
and vegetables
~ Reception at the New Jersey Agricultural Museum featuring New Jersey
wines
~ The technical excursion on Wednesday, August 7 including lunch
~ A farewell banquet on Thursday, August 8 (transportation will be
provided)
The symposium will be held at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
On-campus housing as well as hotels are available. The Symposium is sponsored
by The International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS) and The Farm
Foundation.
