We do not cross post the sanet-mg list to any other servers. We've
been asked on occassion to subscribe another list to sanet-mg and
have refused those requests. Our basic answer is, "If people want
to receive list X they can subscribe themselves."

Subject: Unsolicited list-serv mailings
I don't know how it has happened, but recently I have started receiving
unsolicited mail from the following two lists:
* direct-mkt
* water-on-line@ucdavis.edu
While not casting any negative light on these lists, they are not lists I
have subscribed to nor wish to see on a regular basis.
On the first, the server says I don't exist as a subscriber. An the second,
the list owner has no idea how I got on the list.
Is SANET automatically sending these lists to SANET subscribers? If so,
I'd like more information your policies regarding broadcasting of other
list-servs.
Thanks.
Anne
(Sent to the entire list primarily because I'd like to know if other
SANETters are also receiving postings from these lists.)
