ISO 14000

Bill L. at Davis and others: just got notice of a new guidebook
entitled the ISO 14000 Guide, covering the rationale, importance, and
implementation of this process. In Canada, it is available from
McGraw-Hill Ryerson Ltd., 300 Water St., Whitby, ON L1N 9Z9, for
Ca$57.95, plus postage etc.

I am wondering if the notion of ISO standards - e.g. standards of
environmental compliance for international commerce in such
industries as mining - could be applied to agriculture? Any ideas?
