* To participate in curriculum development and to teach and supervise students on
undergraduate and graduate levels within the scope of the appointment.
* To initiate and conduct research in crop production, with particular emphasis on
crop system functions and interactions with the environment.
* To be responsible for competence development at the Department with regard to
systems analytical research, and to cooperate with other research groups.
* QUALIFICATIONS for this appointment as Senior Lecturer are a doctoral degree and
In a COMPARISON between several qualified applicants, the deciding factor will
concern the degree of scientific, pedagogical, administrative and other skills that
are of importance for the content of the appointment and its nature in other
respects. Special importance will be attached to scientific and pedagogical skill.
Importance will also be attached to the applicant's ability to disseminate
information on research and developmental work.
Together with application documents, the applicant should submit a brief written
account of his/her scientific, pedagogical and other activities. In addition, the
applicant should submit a brief plan, max. 2-3 A4 pages, of his/her intentions with
regard to research and education within the sphere of the appointment.
The scientific and pedagogical works referred to by the applicant shall be listed in
the application, and mailed in one copy to the Rector of the Swedish University of
Agricultural Sciences. A maximum of 10 scientific publications and max. 10
pedagogical publications may be cited, including articles on popular science and
research information. In addition to this, a complete list of publications shall be
submitted, with the publications cited duly marked. When the two members of the
Specialist Committee have been appointed in accordance with notification from the
Processing Officer, one copy of each of the cited publications shall be made
available to each of them.
