UK agriculture will soon start to introduce genetally modified crop species
into agricultural systems. Does anyone have any information on the extent to
which transgenic crop species are being grown (in the USA, Canada or elsewhere)
since some have been released onto the market? Also are there any early
indications of advantages or problems in their growth (i.e. easier weed control
in the crops or persistence of the crop plants as volunteer weeds?).
I would be grateful for any information you can provide.
