recently released guidelines for evaluating and accepting project =
proposals for new and renewable sources of energy. The guidelines are =
designed to encourage the private financing, construction, operation, =
and maintenance of small hydro, biomass, biogas, solar wind and =
ocean-based energy projects. Financing sources currently include a =
US$28-million renewables/ energy efficiency window in the Philippines, a =
US$30-million Renewable Energy Power Program sponsored by the =
Philippines DOE, and a US Agency for International Development Renewable =
Energy Financing and Technical Assistance Programme to provide loans, =
equity and technical assistance.=09

co-operation with Winrock International, is to sponsor a trade mission =
of renewable energy firms to Philippines for the event. The trade =
