Bill Duesing's recent "Living on Earth", posted here, mentioned early claims
by nuclear power advocates that it would be "too cheap to meter." I remember,
as a school kid when nuclear power was just becoming available (early 1950s),
getting free comic books about it from the utility industry, and I vaguely
remember hearing something like "too cheap to meter," but I am not sure who
said it, or whether those were the exact words. Can anyone supply an
authoritative source of this statement?
