is offering a two-week intensive shortcourse on

from June 24 to July 5 at the Foundation ArgenINTA, Buenos Aires
The course will be taught in Spanish by Dr. Vilma G. Carande
from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics,
Colorado State University, USA
(formerly a faculty at Cordoba National University, Cordoba)
The course will cover subjects such as:

Ecological Economics.

3. Neoclassical vs. Biophysical Economics
4. Natural Resource Scarsity and Economic Growth
5. Sustainability and the Two-Tiered Value Theory

8. Economic Biases and Incentives for Sustainability
9. Investing in Natural Capital
10. The Economic Value of Natural Capital
11. Natural Requirements to the Human Economy
12. Adjustments to National Accounts
13. Energy Consumption , Sustainability, and Natural Capital
14. Concepts and Measurements of Ecosystem Health
15. Accounting in Ecological Systems
and others
The course will also have a group-project component in which
participants will research topics such as:

c. The Valuation of Wetland Ecosystems
d. Agricultural Policy in Argentina and the Environment

g. Environmental Policy in Argentina
