We have large round bales of grass hay for sale from the Delta of Arkansas
for export to other state and internationally. In addition, we are
interested in becoming custom producers of grass and legume hay, kenaf baled
silage and other baled silages for export to other states and countries.

We would also like to invite you to become a part of the Livestock Feed
Security Task Force for assuring that American farmers and ranchers get the
livestock feed they need for their livestock.
I just today read a posting about a coming shortage of corn here in the USA
and how that will lead not only to a possible export grain embargo but a
possible shortfall of corn this year to feed our livestock in the USA. Also
mention was of an increase in cost of living for poor and middle class
Americans and internationals as well. Additionally, I've see more and more
information on a shortage of livestock feed in Central Texas and a need to
get livestock feed to stricken farmers there.
Today I met with a member of Arkansas Veterans Commission (many of our
farmers are veterans) who is interested in developing a Livestock Feed
Security Task Force here in Arkansas. He will be discussing that with
Senators Pryor and Bumpers tomorrow night at a Veterans affairs dinner.
There is a great deal of land here that our farmers have simply taken out of
production because they simply could not make enough money on their acres.
I have worked with them to focus their frustrations towards developing a
livestock feed plant here as part of the Livestock Feed Security Task Force.
We plan to grow hay, kenaf, corn and other forage/hay crops on a contract
basis for farmers in Texas and other states that have recurring drought
problems. We plan to set up joint meetings as well as Internet Farmer Forums
to develop a long term strategy for Southern Farmers and Ranchers on a
regional basis. Additionally, we will invite them to come and visit our
lands and work with us to make sure we produce the kinds of feeds they need.
Finally we will be developing a Rural AgroIndustrial Center (RAIC) which can
be jointly owned by the producing farmers and purchasing farmers here to
produce livestock feed pellets made of kenaf, corn, and AgroResidues.
Do you think farmers in other states outside the South would be interested
in joining in our Task Force? If so, how would we go about getting them
involved? Should we structure the Task Force as a separate organization, or
set it up as a division of a RAIC corporation and invite farmers to own
shares? If we set it up as Separate Task Force organization, we will
develop the funds from membership. Under that kinds of structure, the
benefits of membership in the Task Force will be focused on the ability to
stabilize the flow of feed products as we sell livestock feed products and
buy livestock feed products at the set prices established by the
organization. I personally favor establishing a corporation to maintain both
the task Force and to own a RAIC which will then be able to grow and return
dividends to investors. We would also be able to attract outside money to
grow much faster. If we develop it as one corporation, then funds would
come from selling shares and building greater capacity. Of course we can
develop the Task Force as one entity and establish the RAIC as a separate
organization..
Do you feel this is an appropriate way for these farmers to work out this
problems or do you have another solution?
We need farmers to become a part of this Task Force as they are being
affected by these trend in livestock feed availability. We would like to
set up several committees on different aspects of the organization such as
membership, production, marketing, equipment, communication, etc. Please
let me know how you would like this Task Force to be structured. This
organization can only meet the needs of American Farmers and Ranchers if we
all share out ideas and keep up a constant flow of feedback and suggestions
as well.
