Hello!
>
The Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture (MESA), a
non-profit, is sponsoring young agriculturists from Russia, Lithuania and
Honduras who are due to arrive in the U.S. in the coming months. All of our
applicants have agricultural backgrounds and want to improve their skills
in sustainable practices, which will help promote eco-farming around the
world.
>
We are now interviewing sustainable/organic growers and CSAs as hosts for
international farmers seeking yearlong live/work positions, hosts are
especially needed in the areas of field crops, dairy, cattle and
vegetables.
>
We are concentrating our efforts to find qualified hosts in the Western
region of the U.S., but welcome inquiries from anywhere in the U.S. In
exchange for reliable full-time farm assistance, host farms provide room,
board and a $675/month program fee. The program fee enables MESA to provide
its international farmers with $300/monthstipends, health insurance,
educational seminars, legal documentation, domestic travel and
administrative support. Considering that host farms have no payroll taxes
or legal documentation concerns--and an enthusiastic young farmer working
on the farm--MESA's program offers an affordable and compelling alternative
to hiring another employee.

If you or anyone you may know would like to find out more about hosting an
international farmer through our program, please contact:
