Except in the direst situations, I expect food "aid" does far more
harm than good. I have enough problems competing with California
water-subsidised vegetables as it is; can you imagine what how long
I'd keep growing food if Cameroun were landing boatloads of vegetables
in New Orleans to help the hungry and malnourished of the US Southeast..??
