Marcie: Thanks for saying it. I lived in New England for the last seven
years and found it an enormously difficult challenge to eat locally and in
season. I mostly failed. Having moved to California temporarily, I'm
finding it much easier, of course, but I can't say I have any better
insights about how to do it anywhere else. For most of the country it would
mean a massive shift in diet and lifestyle. But I can't agree with you more
on the centrality of that shift in moving to a truly sustainable
agriculture.
