The Crooked River Growers, a non-incorporated group of OEFFA certified
organic and Demeter certified biodynamic small family farms, is looking for
interns interested in a multidisciplinary learning experience.
We are working together to market our produce, meat and eggs through a local
farmers market and through csa's.
One of our growers has a small greenhouse for starting seeds and bedding
plants for some of the "coop" members and for sale at the market.
Room and board will be provided in one of our members homes.
Farming is hard work, with long hours. You will be expected to work Friday
nights and Saturday mornings for the Saturday market.
You will learn a lot, and you will have the opportunity to tend your own
garden space.
We're located in North Eastern Ohio, in the foothills of the Appalachians,
where most farms are less than 150 acres.
