Coinciding with some discussion on the mail group, a reporter at Mother
Jones magazine, Catherine Guthrie, is looking for leads and sources of
information about how far food travels before it makes it to our plates.
The magazine is interested in general information, but was also
particularly interested in trying to get some kind of mileage numbers for
the average American meal.
