Hi Johann
Well there are many places where they use manure for farm yard
crop/vegetables. Depends which part of Sub Saharan Africa you are looking
for.
International institutes such as ILCA(International Livestock Centre for
Africa, Ethiopia, currently named ILRI) and IITA (International Institute
for Tropical Agriculture, Nigeria) could be a good source for this. I
know they have done some on this.

But it may be helpful for you to explore some lead at the University of
Hohenheim, Germany.
