As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Northern Ivory Coast and researcher in Mali
and Senegal, I saw people using manure in two ways: 1) they would haul it
out to the fields in donkey carts from the collection points where the
animals would be corralled overnight; 2) they would move the overnight
coral periodically and use the old corral as a household garden. The
ICRISAT/SAFGRAD Center in Mali (based at Sotuba) would probably have
reports on manure use. USAID in Mali would be a starting point. I don't
have an e-mail address for them.
