environmental policy as it relates to children's health

Protection (BBEP). Provides information about recent
applications for trial releases of transgenic crops,
including name of applicant and crop species. Links to
information about APHIS work related to transgenic
arthropods, bibliography of transgenic arthropod studies
and reports, review of USDA regulatory authority and
discussions related to the release of transgenic
arthropods into environment (see PANUPS January 18,

*Agroecology: The Science of Sustainable Agriculture,
1995.* Miguel Altieri. (Updated from 1989 edition).
Provides in-depth analysis of agroecological principles
and practices, including discussions of agroecology's

technologies, ecological approaches to managing insects,
weeds and pathogens and transition processes for
conventional farms implementing agroecological

*Environmental Scholars Database.* World Wide Fund for
Nature (WWF). WWF seeks information about scientists,
faculty and experts in environmental fields for database
of environmental researchers. Database will be included
in WWF World Wide Web site, and will allow users to
search by keyword in order to facilitate networking and
information exchange. To enter your name in the
database, send email to wwfnetwork@newmedium.com, write
"environmental scholars" in subject heading and include
the following information: name, department,
college/university/organization, address, state,
country, phone/fax/email, research areas and topics of
interest (responses regarding research areas and topics
of interest should be approximately one paragraph long).
