Last year I received I letter from an enginer in Sao Paulo, Brazil requesting information. Unfortunately, I have not been able to help him. I am posting his letter here. Please pass it on if anyone thinks they can help. No return address was given in the letter or on the envelope. I reproduce the letter here in its original English. Thank you.

Dear Sir,
I am a Chemistry Engineering and I have been working for CETESB-Environmental Protection Agency of the State of Sao Paulo.
Sao Paulo State has about 7 (seven) industries which produce orange juice and its components and they present problems concerned to emission of odorous substances in the atmosphere, mainly due to the bagasse drying process. We know that odorous substances are composed of essential oils.
Those industries are subject to population complains in the neighbourhood, and CETESB decideds to elaborate a project to control that kind of problem.
Therefore we would like to know if you could inform us if in the United States there are any control tecnologies for this substances.
We will be very pleasure with your cooperation.
Sincerely,
ENG. LUZIA HISAE YAMASHITA
Assistant to the President of CETESB
