Live Interview with Jim Bender

Here is your chance to learn more about integrated crop/animal systems and
whole farm planning. Jim Bender, Nebraska farmer and author of Future
Harvest, will be interviewed live on a satellite broadcast on January 5
from 1 to 3 p.m. The coordinates for the downlink are: C-Band Telestar 402,
89 degrees West, Channel 14 (H), 3980 MHz.

The broadcast will open with video footage of the Bender farm (about 15
minutes), followed by questions from Chuch Francis and the studio audience.
Questions can be called in from anywhere in the United States. The number is
800-755-7765. It will also appear on the screen during the telecast.

Besides farming 642 acres in eastern Nebraska, Jim Bender has been a board
member and president of the Wallace Institute for Alternative Agriculture. He
has a unique perspective on organic agriculture and the importance of livestock
integration. This telecast in supported by SARE Chapter 3 training grant funds
for a project on Increasing Sustainable Agriculture Literacy.
