Subj: municipal food policies

Hello everyone,
I am one of several people who are creating a sustainable food system
group here in Burlington, VT. We are thinking of working on a food
policy for Burlington as our first foray into action, so I am trying to
put together a comprehensive list of other cities, counties, and states
that have come up with similar policies. Computer databases such as
Worldcat and Agricola have been of minimal help so I thought I would tap
into the great pool of knowledge that exists on Sanet! If you know of
food policies other than the ones I know of so far please let me know and
I'll be happy to post the final cumulative list.

this is what I have so far:
Knoxville, TN
Minneapolis, MN
St. Paul, MN
Philadelphia, PA
Charleston, SC
Kansas City, MO
Hartford, CT
Onondaga county, NY
New York State
Quebec, Canada

Thank you very much.

Have your tried Food Science and Technology Abstracts? It has a lot
citations to articles on food policy and food safety. Give it a try.
It's the major abstract journal for food science literature.
