Pig effluent

I have been asked to find out if any work has been done on the
fertilising effect of pig manure on trees. A pig farmer here has
treated the pig effluent with an enzyme preparation which has
composted it. The analysis/nutrient profile looks very encouraging and
he is considering spraying it on a forestry block. Research here has
worked with dairy shed and other waste being irrigated through
eucalypt plantations to good effect. BUt has any work been done on
spray applications and/or pine trees?
