I'd like some information concerning pesticide longevity and
effects on the environment.
Is it necessarily true to say that pesticides that breakdown
quickly are more environmentally "safe"?
What about the comparison of using DDT vs Parathion for mosquito
control in malaria prone areas? I understand that while DDT is
highly persistant, it has relatively low mammalian toxicity while
parathion is quite the opposite. Any opinions?
