STUDY ABROAD IN SCOTLAND
Findhorn College of International Education--
Educating Tomorrow's Leaders For A Sustainable Future
I wanted to ask your help in letting students know about our new
scholarship program for study in Scotland. The URL of our world wide web
page is http://www.tiac.net/biz/fcie
Findhorn College prepares students to be leaders in a world that will need
to address difficult and fast changing environmental, cultural, social, and
economic problems. Findhorn College's Global Village Studies Program, the
only one of its kind in Great Britain, and one of the few in the world,
integrates environmental studies, the principles and practices of
sustainability, community building, leadership and group skills, and the
psychology of personal growth. It emphasizes the interaction between
psychology and the environment, between the inner and outer worlds, between
people and the planet.
The experience and everyday life of the U.N.- recognized Findhorn Eco
Community, the largest and most successful intentional community in the
Western world, forms the context for the program, complimented by
innovative academic courses taught at Findhorn and in Edinburgh.
In addition to our regular financial aid program, we have additional
scholarships of up to $1,000 available to students for the January 1996
Semester and $500 for the Fall 1996 Semester. The deadline (extended) is
November 20th. Students can qualify by e-mailing us at
college@findhorn.org, or mailing us at our U.S. address of Box 1393,
Boston, MA 02117.
We would appreciate your help in recruiting the students who can most
benefit from attending Findhorn College. You may have students, friends,
family or colleagues who would be interested, or have access to bulletin
boards, newsletters, publications, and other suitable places to announce
the Findhorn College program.
We are also seeking a small number of Academic Advisors and Campus
Representatives, and if you, or someone you know, is interested in working
actively with Findhorn College, we would be very grateful if you or they
would contact us.
Additional information is available on our World Wide Web page at
http://www.tiac.net/biz/fcie/ For a printed copy of the catalog, send name,
address and telephone number by email to college@findhorn.org.
Thanks very much for your help.
