I thought both sides of the arguement lacked clearly diefined
objectives. As long as each party relies on emotion to support their
position there will be unresolved conflict. I think the first wstep
would be for both pro and con cattle leasing groups to define whit it is
that they hope to accomplish (examples include biodivesity, wild areas,
local economic development, a good governement tax base). I think that
there is plenty of room for accomplishing each sides goals in New
Mexico. They just need to define what they hope to accomplish. Then
throw asside the emotion and work together to need their needs.
