So-called "Good Times" virus

The recent posting on this list about the so-called "Good Times Virus"
is a false alarm. There is no such virus. Several highly responsible
sources tried to alert people to the fact that the whole thing was a hoax
when warnings about it began circulating several months back. Apparently
they were not entirely successful. Please do not keep the thing going by
reposting the fraudulent warning that still surfaces from time to time.
(Besides this list, I saw it on another one about a week ago.) The only harm
done by "Good Times" is the groundless anxiety it causes in people who read
the warning.
